One thing M&W has never forgotten: performance and
value are defined by what happens in the field. Because no matter what
happens in a computer model, if that theoretical model doesn't translate into
real-life results, then it's just eye candy and M&W's mission isn't
completed.
M&W knows about doing it right. We spend thousands of
hours each year working with individuals, and companies to make sure our
manifolds are as functionally perfect as they can be. In our striving through
LEAN MANUFACTURING concepts and appropriate effort we have devised
processes and controls that bring M&W very close to 100% error free
manifolds, our ultimate goal. One day it's a medical application, the next it's
a OEM off-road, industrial power unit, or marine, injection mold, mobile
high-lift, or an application for a military Humvee. Some applications are just
down the street; some are in California, New York or around the world. No
matter where the application, the bottom-line M&W commitment to quality
is always the same.
Service
Developing a serious custom hydraulic manifold
application isn't like buying an off the shelf item. Everything is important
here: from the function of the machine it goes into, to the specification of
the valves you choose, type of fluid, material, flows, pressures, size and
types of ports, orientations, coatings, and cycle rates to the quality of
materials and the ultimate process control utilized in the design and
manufacturing process as well as the efficiency (pressure drops) within of the
manifold. It can get complex with hundreds of critical locations, bores and
threads, all within ports and valve cavities. This is why few people do it, and
even fewer do it right. You have to be very good at all aspects of what M&W
calls "Systems Technology" (see WHY M&W?) and the
complexities of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering.
That's also why we must provide 1st class technical
service to our customers. Our engineers, technicians and support people are
an integral part of the unique M&W custom manifold solution we will create
for your application. They will help you choose the right combination of design
features for a successful application and provide you with an attractive CAD
approval drawing. With hundreds of different valves and combinations available,
it takes good technical information from you, combined with M&W's
experience to maximize results. This is why M&W is so committed to
pragmatic long-term relationships with our distributor/customers. It is only by
working together as a team that winning results can be obtained. M&W people
will also be there after the sale as well, as you test and approve your
prototype and it grows into a successful application of (1) or (500).
